Last week, a distraught Farang (Thai: foreigner) friend of mine called me. He had just broke-up with his “nth” girlfriend. He asked me over for a couple of beers. Confused, hurt, and angry, he didn’t know why every relationship he’s had in Thailand has ended up in shambles. During the course of our conversation, I explained some important differences between Asian and Western cultures to him.
